Madeley School of Dance at Didsbury Festival

The Madeley School of Dance has a long history teaching dance classes in Didsbury village. It was established back in 1958 by Vera Madeley, at Emmanuel Church Hall where classes still run today. The family business is now proudly run by her daughter Sally Owens (B.A Hons Dance Theatre, FNATD and registered teacher at RAD) and her granddaughter Katie Owens (Primary pgce, B.A Hons Dance and NATD registered contemporary dance).

The school offers dance classes in a variety of styles to suit children of all abilities and levels of experience. We are passionate about our ties with the community, and our pupils can take part in Didsbury Festival. They also have the opportunity to perform in a variety of spaces including local theatres, outdoor markets and care homes.

We welcome everyone who wants to try out dancing and pride ourselves on providing equal opportunity and a friendly, supportive and creative place to learn! So what are you waiting for? Come and join in the fun!
